Beeck Renosil External Mineral Paint
An easy application silicate-based external paint for all mineral surfaces and for application over existing paints.
Description
Breathable. Durable. Natural. Sustainable.
An easy application silicate-based external paint for all mineral surfaces and for application over existing paints. Top of Form Renosil is a vapour permeable silicate-based paint for use as a renovation coating and for remineralising surfaces. Can be applied over firm, existing paint coatings or onto new render and mineral surfaces.
Renosil is hard-wearing, even in demanding outdoor conditions. It’s available in a standard fine finish or as a coarse basecoat.
Renosil contains the addition of a hydrophobe, a valuable asset in repelling rainwater to assist and significantly reduce the levels of water from entering the building fabric. This protects the building and allows it to dry much quicker during wet spells, providing an additional layer of protection.
Due to its natural alkalinity and lack or organic matter, Beeck Renosil can help protect against mould, mildew and fungus, making it ideal for exposed outdoor areas.
Suitable Surfaces: Lime or cement render, concrete, brick, stone and sound existing paint.

Coverage
Approx. 0.13 L / m² per pass on a smooth substrate (10ltr covers approx. 50m2)
Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, firm and stable. Carefully repair chipped surfaces with the same type of material and texture. Carefully cover surfaces which are not to be treated eg windows, window sills and protect them from paint splashes. Stir with a powered mixing paddle before use.
Application
Do not apply on hot surfaces or use in blazing sun. Minimum application temperature +8C. Drying time at least 12 hours per pass. Protect fresh coats from rain and blazing sun by use of hessian / scaffolding sheeting. Apply by brush, roller or air less spraying method. Cut in edges seamlessly and smoothly – wet on wet.
Thin primer coat with no more than 10% water, dependant upon substrate and method used. Leave 12 hours before applying top coat and add no more than 5% water to improve coatability.
